AR print & packaging

The most expensive media you own is already in their hands.

A pack, a mailer or a card is a printed surface someone is holding and looking at. Point a phone at it and it opens — a story, a demo, a reorder link — and every open is counted.

Print goes out.
Nothing comes back.

You print thousands of a thing, send it into the world, and learn almost nothing about what happened next. This is the same printed piece with a way back to you attached — no app for anyone to install, no reprint when the message changes.

The pack becomes the channel

You already pay to put a printed surface in someone's hands. This turns it into a place you can talk to them — a how-to, a story, a reorder link — without buying media to reach them again.

Change the message, not the print run

The carton, label or card stays exactly as printed. What it shows can change for a new season, a promotion or a recall notice, with no reprint and no waste.

You learn who actually opened it

Direct mail and packaging are famously unmeasurable. Every open is counted, so you finally know whether the expensive piece was worth printing.

It survives the hand-off

Because it runs as a plain web link and not an app, anyone can pass it on — a customer, a retailer, a partner. The link works for whoever receives it.

Straight answer

Our shipped example of this format is ARify's own business card — a real printed piece running real AR, and you can try it yourself on the demo page rather than take our word for it. We have not yet run a retail or CPG packaging programme, so if you need category proof, say so on the call and we will scope a pilot instead of overselling.

Questions we get

Before you brief it in.

Does it work on a curved surface like a bottle?

Flat and gently curved surfaces track well. A tight curve — a slim can, a narrow bottle neck — is harder because the camera sees a distorted version of the artwork. Send us the dieline or a photo and we will tell you before you commit.

How small can the printed target be?

A business card works, which is roughly the practical floor. Below that the camera struggles to resolve enough detail at a comfortable holding distance.

Do we need a QR code on the pack?

You need some way in, and a code is the most reliable. It can be small and it can sit with the other regulatory marks — it does not have to dominate the design.

Can different SKUs share one build?

Yes. Several products can run off one experience with the artwork deciding what appears, which is far cheaper than commissioning one per SKU.

Send us the artwork or the dieline.
