AR for municipalities

The wall is already yours. We give it a reason to stop.

ARify layers no-app AR over murals and public art your municipality already owns. No new commission, no app for visitors to download, and nothing for your staff to maintain.

The case for your council

A cultural spend that argues for itself.

Public art is a hard line to defend at budget time. A renovation is the rare exception — it's cheap relative to the asset it upgrades, and unlike a painted wall, it reports back.

You already own the expensive part

Most municipalities aren't short on murals and public art — they're short on reasons for people to stop at them. Renovating a wall you already own costs a fraction of commissioning new work, because it buys the only piece that's missing.

Costs your team nothing to run

ARify hosts and maintains every experience. No CMS, no logins, no new system for someone on staff to inherit and quietly abandon.

It extends across your whole collection

Every wall or installation your municipality already owns is a candidate. The first is a pilot, not the whole spend — and the second is always easier to justify than the first.

It reports back

A painted wall produces no data. Every scan is a measurable event: how many people opened it, how long they stayed, and where they went next.

Proof, not a pitch deck

We've done this for a municipality already.

The Municipality of Trail, BC owned a flood mural nobody stopped for. We left the paint untouched and layered a no-app AR experience on top — an audio tour, historic photography, and the 1948 flood rising across the street. It's live today.

A large mural on the side of a brick building on a city street, two people walking past it on the pavement.

The asset you already own

Most towns already own a wall like this.

It was commissioned, paid for and unveiled, and it has been quiet ever since. The expensive part is already done — this is the part that makes it keep working, and report back to the people who funded it.

Questions municipal staff ask

Before you bring this to council.

Do we need council to approve a new artwork budget?

No. A renovation adds a digital layer to a wall or installation you already own and have already approved. There's no new physical art, no new site approval — the ask is narrower than a public-art commission.

Who maintains it after launch?

ARify hosts and maintains the experience indefinitely at no cost to you, for as long as the link stays live. There's nothing for municipal staff to renew, patch, or migrate.

Can it connect to a tour app or heritage program we already run?

Yes. Because the experience runs as a standard web link rather than a native app, any partner — a tour operator, a heritage society, a scavenger-hunt app — can launch it without an SDK or a rebuild. Trail, BC's build was picked up this way by a separate municipal contractor.

What do you need from us to start?

The wall or installation, its rough dimensions and location, and a target date — an unveiling, a festival, a budget-cycle deadline. We handle the concept, script, build, hosting, and signage from there.

For your vendor file

We respond to RFPs and can supply sole-source justification language and references on request. Experiences are static web builds — if you ever leave us, the build hands over cleanly.
